Naive Expectations

My Naïve Thoughts to Find My Inner Peace (my heart’s desire).
‘See no evil’, ‘speak no evil’ and ‘hear no evil’… Then wouldn’t life be perfect?

My expectations of others are high and I would easily let my guard down; the intentions of others are different from mine yet I am not blind to see it, just naïve to except it. My heart is big and opened to the people I share my life with and allowing them to be real with me as I am with them. I am not afraid to give and not afraid to ‘fall in love’…

I hold the power to accept change and adapt to new surroundings. The transition process isn’t easy – I purge myself and leave the baggage behind. I believe my purpose on this earth is to open the eyes of others- helping them see what life is truly about.
A difference can be made once we set high expectations for ourselves and of others. If your expectations are not met, it is because someone failed to fulfill their purpose in your life. You are to act on this and not accept it!

Some win and some fail –
We are to learn from everyone’s life experience, knowing what it takes to be a winner and how NOT to fail. We all hold that power to make a change in someone’s life, the power to guide a person’s mind; do not judge or entertain their wrong doings, but share your opinion and advise accordingly. It is not an option to ignore what goes on around us, but to accept it first before moving on as we are affected by the decisions these illiberal bastards crafted.

I am distracted by love and naïve to the worldly activities that the Bible speaks of. Naïve thinking we all have good intentions, vulnerable to misfortune but hoping for the best as I continue to open my heart to find happiness and freedom…

Illiberal bastards!

I needed a word that would give a direct image behind the thought process and actions of men; a word that cannot be debated but can be elaborated on, giving us the freedom of speech without being ‘narrow minded’. - I needed a word that would help us recognize what is happening around us and analyze or to put deep thought in doing what is expected of us.

How can you reason with a man who is in denial of his own life and beliefs? When we act in response, our emotions tend to get the best of us as we are in disbelief of what we allow. - And kindly note that this ‘Is’ and can ‘Be’ generally based on any situation as our actions develop into an instant ego defense mechanism only to protect ourselves....

How can we want world peace if we are not at peace with ourselves…? This type of compassion is what we must strive to cultivate in ourselves; however, if we satisfy people in a liberal manner, peace will surely come.

Congratulations Mr. Tian Winter

Antigua and Barbuda Soca Monarch 2010 was a blast and Tian left me speechless after his Jumpy performance. At that moment, I fell in love with Soca and knowing that he’s blessed with so much talent made it an emotional yet exciting experience witnessing this Young man ‘Storm’ ARG!

The crowd paced themselves anxiously waited for his performance as the MC introduced him and his song next on stage. Tian took the stage with confidence and created a world wind none of us were prepared for! It was more than just rags waving and flags flying; he had his fans going wild and the full support of the Winter Babies. I am still in amazement and I repeat, ‘He stormed ARG last night’ - the entire grounds jumped in the Hurricane!

The young artist had finally taken the crown in the 2009 Soca Monarch competition, for both Groovy and Jumpy right here in Antigua and since then been all over the Caribbean scene making his name known…

Congratulations Mr. Tian Winter for winning the 2010 Soca Monarch Jumpy Competition and 1st runner up in the Groovy Segment with ‘Its Your Wine’. We will continue to support you in your immediate and long-term career goals and look forward to your continued growth with more weather updates within the Entertainment Industry and Music Industry.
